| Destination Kohler, 5-Diamond Resort with Diversity & Special Occasions Photography by Kimberly Freund The words of Walter Kohler are as true today as when he first envisioned the Village of Kohler: "It is a place where simple things, done well, will never be out of style." At every turn a visitor makes at the Kohler Village (WI), there are new experiences to explore, pieces of history with unique stories, pride of products, design elements alive in each entity - from the American Club, the restaurants, shopping village, specialty shops, the golf courses, the Design Center, the Spa, the restaurants - every aspect of this place is unique and overseen with great care. Accompanied by a desire to serve in the finest of fashion, the European traditions hold charm and a presence to be appreciated. Their special events are well planned to give memorable aspects to travel visitors. Festivals and Special Events Envision children skating on the ice; artists creating large scale ice sculptures; music playing throughout the shopping village, horse drawn buggies for people to experience, and a polar bear plunge in the frigid lake waters. The setting is a Norman Rockwell painting in waiting - a slice of Americana that brings pleasure and memory making to all. This is the Kohler Village Winter Festival held in February each year. Attendees travel from afar to enjoy this recreation of times past, and making new memories for the present. Kohler is home to The American Club, the Midwest's only AAA Five Diamond resort hotel, and four championship golf courses. The PGA Championships are played on the Whistling Straits course at Kohler. In addition to the two 18-hole Pete Dye destined golf courses, a 500-acre wildlife preserve offers hiking trails, fishing and seasonal sports. Exercise is available at Kohler Sports Core-a private club with trainers, tennis courts and swimming facilities. Guestrooms feature the latest in inviting bath design and a nurturing, comfortable environment. As a guest at The American Club, there is easy access to the Spa.
